Award-winning pastry chef Anna Polyviou will be taking over as the new executive pastry chef at Sydney’s Shangri-La Hotel.
With Polyviou at the helm guests can expect to enjoy a number of sweet additions, including a new macaroon range and handmade chocolate bonbons.
“We have a great pastry team who I am always learning from and we are constantly trying new things to take pastry at the hotel to a new level,” Polyviou said of joining the team at Shangri-La Hotel.
Recently, she was employed as executive pastry chef at Bathers Pavillion, a position she held for five years. During her time at the restaurant Polyviou contributed to three cookbooks and sat on the judging panel of a number of prestigious competitions.
Over the course of her 13 year career the Melbourne-born pastry chef has worked at a number of venues in Melbourne, Paris, Chicago, London and Sydney.
