On Sunday the 18 October NUGAS Victoria hosted an information session on Greek Studies at La Trobe via Zoom.

The session focused on informing those interested in studying Greek at tertiary level about the options available to them.

As La Trobe University is currently the only tertiary institution in Victoria that offers Greek, NUGAS believes that as a community we must do everything in our power to support the program to ensure it continues to thrive.

The afternoon began with students Megan Smith, Anthea Banousis, Kion Sapountzis, and Konnor Terzakis sharing their experiences of participating in the program.

Hearing the students’ experiences revealed the many available ways to undertake Greek, whether it be through a Degree, Diploma, or Cross-institutional study if La Trobe is not your home institution.

Moreover La Trobe offers beginners and advanced Greek, offering opportunities to continue Greek after VCE studies, or even start learning from scratch!

The students also vouched for the inviting and inclusive learning environment and the Greece Study Tour offered by the program.
