South Melbourne enjoyed a comprehensive 3-0 victory over league leaders Richmond in the late match played at Lakeside Stadium yesterday.
Goal scorers for South were Joseph Yusef in the first half and Vaughan Coveny and Goran Joric in the second half.
Coveny’s goal was a cracker with him scoring from long range. His goal was the 99th time he has scored a league goal for South Melbourne in his long career with the club.
South Melbourne has won consecutive home games and its last four matches.
There are no matches next week because of Easter.
South Melbourne’s next match is away to Green Gully on Saturday April 18.
