The Extraordinary General Meeting of Pontiaki Estia that was held Sunday July 19, decided to go ahead with the sale of the organisation’s property in Western Sunshine.

In favour of the sale voted 161 members with 79 opposing it. This latest result in Pontiaki Estia’s reflects a division between older and younger generation members.

When contacted by Neos Kosmos English Edition (NKEE) founding member and former President of Pontiaki Estia Stathis Tsitaridis indicated his willingness to challenge the decision.

“We will demand a thorough examination into the organisation’s member registry,” Mr Tsitaridis said. He argued that the current board has systematically used methods of member stacking to manipulate consensus and distort the character of decisions.

Mr Tsitaridis expressed his determination to prove that, “Sunday’s result was not a reflection of the legitimate majority in the organisation”.

In a report to NKEE published last week current board member and former President of Pontiaki Estia Litsa Athanasiadis had vehemently denied Mr Tsitaridis’ allegations.

The President of Pontiaki Estia Nikos Krikelis when contacted by Neos Kosmos refused to make any comments regarding the situation in Pontiaki Estia.
