• Vogue Australia celebrates its 50th anniversary this month with a special edition of the magazine. One highlight includes an illustration of Cate Blanchett by London fashion illustrator David Downton. Blanchett’s portrait graces four different covers of the magazine. The special anniversary issue also includes 10 specially commissioned ‘Aussie cossies’ from international designers including Ralph Lauren, Karl Lagerfeld and John Galliano.
  • Pamela Anderson and fashion designer Richie Rich are set to head to New Zealand fashion week next month. Anderson and Richie have worked together to create an eco-friendly swimwear collection called Muse.
  • It seems that H&M is coming closer to our shores! The fashion forward and highly affordable retail giant will open another three stores in China this year. Fingers crossed that the owners realise that Australians are desperate for a store here.
  • In totally random news, Israel’s biggest daily newspaper, Yediot Ahronot, has a new international correspondent – Madonna. Yes, the material girl has written an article called How My Life Changed and the newspaper has translated it into Hebrew. The article describes her religious awakening 14 years ago. Madonna isn’t Jewish, but studies Kabbalah and has taken the Hebrew name of Esther.
