Zack Galifianakis is a Greek American comedian who has many credits to his name. He recently starred alongside Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz in the romantic comedy What Happens In Vegas, and is now signed up to co-star in another comedy called Due Date opposite Robert Downey Jnr.
Galifianakis’ latest endeavour will be directed by Todd Phillips who also directed this year’s film by Galifianakis, The Hangover.
Galifianakis was born in North Carolina in the United States. His mother ran a community centre for the arts, and his father Harry emigrated from Greece at a young age.
Harry comes from the island of Crete and Zack has expressed that he has visited Greece many times as a teenager.
Due Date is expected to begin production later this year, and is rumoured to be released in 2010.
The film follows a father-to-be (Downey Jr) who is racing across the country to witness the birth of his child.
Funny man Galifianakis will play his travel companion.
