MTV Greece has announced the five Greek artists who are in the running for the 2009 MTV Music Awards which will take place in Berlin.
The five nominees are pop singer Elena Paparizou, young singer- songwriter Monika, rock band Matisse, Greek pop sextet Onirama and Greek hip hop duo Professional Sinnerz.
The winner from each country will be announced on 13 October and then go head to head with 21 other nominees to fight it out for the ultimate title of Best European Act.
The MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 will take place on 5 November in Berlin from the brand new, state-of-the-art O2 World Arena.
