Beautiful French-Greek actress Alexa Davalos has landed the role of Princess Andromeda in an upcoming remake of the fantasy film Clash of the Titans.

The movie is loosely based on the Greek myth of Perseus and the 2010 version is directed by Louis Leterrier and also stars Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes.

Set for release in March, Clash of the Titans focuses on Perseus (Worthington) who is a helpless to save his family from the vengeful god of the underworld, Hades (Fiennes).

Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat his enemy before he endeavours to seize power from Zeus (Neeson).

Davalos’ character Andromeda is a princess who faces a dangerous situation, which Perseus quickly defuses.

Davalos was born in France into a family of actors.

Her mother was an actress and her grandfather, Richard Davalos, starred alongside James Dean in East of Eden.

Before breaking the acting scene herself, Alexa Davalos was first a model.

She landed her debut role as Kyra in The Chronicles of Riddick, which also featured action star Van Diesel.
