The Australian Hellenic Council (AHC) will be presenting Nike Awards to the Hon. Cherie Burton MP and the Hon. David Clarke MLC, while the inaugural Alexander Award will be presented to Senator Nick Xenophon, in appreciation of their efforts for recognition of the Hellenic, Armenian and Assyrian genocides.

The awards will be presented at the 2010 Australian Hellenic Council Awards Dinner at The Grand Roxy, Brighton-Le-Sands, Sydney, at 7pm on Friday 18 March. The event is a highlight in the Australian Hellenic community’s calendar, honouring those who through their service, support and honour the spirit of Hellenism. The Australian Hellenic Council’s Nike Awards recognise the achievements of Australians who have made a significant contribution to Australian Hellenism.

Past Nike Award recipients include three former Prime Ministers – Gough Whitlam, Malcolm Fraser and John Howard. You can purchase individual tickets or corporate packages. Corporate packages include an advertisement in the 2011-12 AHC calendar, full page promotion in the the commemorative booklet and labelling of your table at the AHC Awards Dinner.
