They say that the connection between a mother and her daughter has a strength that can withstand armies and if there’s a granddaughter in the mix then all the more so.

Women’s needs are particularly unique when it comes to health issues and these issues can really only be understood by other women. Getting older as a woman has its own host of problems, not just with matters of health, but also with the age old problem of loneliness.

Fronditha Care and Instyle Training has set up a community based service to encourage younger women to help elderly women called Women’s Caring Circle, and in May there is two-course meal being provided for those interested in getting involved in creating their own caring circle, so they can make a personal difference to the world.

This will be the first of many circle events to connect women with similar community based values.

“Although this is a program to assist the elderly and connect women of different generations, it also about maintaining the Greek connection between these women within their communities,” emphasises Gus Seremtis who is handling these events.
