Marrickville Council is inviting residents to have their say about how, when, where and why they participate in recreational activities in the Marrickville community in New South Wales.

The council is interested to hear about the recreational needs of residents and the changes that could be made to parks, recreational and sporting facilities and public open space that would make recreational experiences more enjoyable.

Mayor of Marrickville Councillor Fiona Byrne said feedback from residents will guide council policy and strategy regarding recreational facilities and activities well into the future. “I encourage Marrickville residents to provide comment on recreational activities, whether they jog, skate, swim, play sport or something entirely different,” Cr Byrne said.

Marrickville residents are invited to complete an online survey available on council’s website or attend various community consultation sessions throughout July and August to help you in providing your recommendations.

Residents can also provide a written submission on their issues and ideas for council’s recreational facilities by emailing comments to marrickvillerecreation@themillergroup.com.au or writing to Marrickville Recreation Research, The Miller Group, PO Box 122, Surry Hills, NSW, 2010.
