Greek Australian George Miller’s latest film, the greatly anticipated Happy Feet 2 is set to hit Australian cinemas on 26 December, just in time for Boxing Day when kids are over their Christmas gifts and need to be entertained.
With characters voiced by a who’s who of celebrities – Sofia Vergara of Modern Family, Robin Williams, Elijah Wood, Pink, Magda Szubanski, Hugo Weaving, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon – the film is on its way to achieving the same accolades as its Oscar-winning original.
The animated sequel takes us back to Antarctica, reuniting us with the world famous tap-dancing penguin, Mumble (Elijah Wood), and his soulmate, Gloria (Pink) and their old friends Ramon and Lovelace (Robin Williams). Mumble and Gloria now have a son, who is struggling to find his own unique talents in the Emperor Penguin world. But new dangers are threatening the penguin nation, and it’s going to take the whole community working and dancing together.
Happy Feet Two is in cinemas nationally from Monday, 26 Dec.
