The Greek Orthodox Parish Community of St George Greek Welfare Centre will be giving a guided talk on depression.

Presented by Dr Oreste Theodoratos (MMBS) Psychiatris Registrar Royal Brisbane Hospital, Michelle Tsakas BA (Hons) BSW AASW (ACC) AMHSW, Mareegoula Prostamo BSW, AASW and Fr Dimitri Tsakas BSW (Hons) B Th. MintRel, AASW (ACC), AMHSW.

The presentations will include information on: how antidepressants work; what is depression; what causes depression; how are families affected by depression; how do families and people experiencing depression get help; how can counselling help; and what coping mechanisms help us deal with depression. After the presentations there will be a guided discussion.

The talk ‘How Much Do You Know About Depression? will take place at the Greek Orthodox Community of St George Greek Respite Centre on Wednesday 28 March from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
