Cypriot Government spokesperson, Mr Christos Christofides will head commemorative events and rallies on the anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.
Mr Christofides, the Director of the Office of the President and Deputy Government Spokesperson in Cyprus will be the keynote speaker at events all around Australia and accompanied by High Commissioner of Cyprus, His Excellency Mr Yiannis Iacovou.
Organised by the Justice of Cyprus Coordinating Committee, the talks will be in Melbourne from Friday 13 July until Sunday 15 July and in Sydney from Sunday 22 July. On Friday 20 July, the date of the invasion, they will be in Brisbane.
The Committee also hopes to speak in Perth and Adelaide.
Cyprus has been occupied by Turkish forces since 1974.
