As obesity and diabetes is fast becoming a growing problem amongst many communities from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. The New South Wales Ministry of Health is looking at encouraging children of CALD backgrounds to lead a healthier lifestyle. To do that, NSW Health will be hosting 2012 Multicultural Health Week by celebrating healthy kids.
On Monday 3 September, a light lunch will be served at Old Government House to celebrate healthy kids. They will be encouraged to eat more fruit and vegetables, to keep active, wash their hands and drink plenty of water.
