Melbourne Heart attacker David Williams won’t be playing in the next game, after he received a straight red card in the 67th minute of Heart’s victory over Brisbane Roar last week for his lunging challenge, that saw him go in with the studs showing.

Williams had previously set Heart on their way, scoring the first goal in the encounter.

He will miss this weekend’s game when the Heart travel to Allianz Stadium to take on Sydney FC.

Heart has been in good form of late, and the absence will be felt.

It sits in sixth place on the ladder, above Brisbane Roar.
