Ingredients:
Serves 4 people
1 small bottle of sweet white wine
50 g. sugar
15 g. Juniper berries
2 cinnamon sticks
350 gr. blackberries
Method:
1. Pour in the wine, sugar and one cup water in saucepan and bring to boil first.
2. (In the meantime, we break the berries, add them to the syrup and bring to a boil for 2 minutes).
3. Wash, if necessary, blackberries, put them in a glass (never metal) pot with lid together with the syrup and leave for 3-5 hours in the freezer.
4. Shortly before serving sorbet, ice or 4 large in the freezer.
5. Put the blackberries and the first over the frozen pieces of syrup. Serve immediately on glasses and dishes beside the biscuits.
Note:
The sweet white wine with excellent sorbet freezes, giving the impression of frozen snow.
Choose a white Muscat from Samos or Lemnos.
Offer with crunchy biscuits. If you cannot find fresh blueberries use frozen.
