Actress Jennifer Aniston has put her hand up to co-star in Greek American actor and comedian Zach Gailifianakis’ film of the Battle Of Crete. The actress – globally recognized for her role as Rachel Green in the hit ’90s sitcom Friends – wants to be part of this production due to her Cretan descent.
43-year-old Galifianakis is considering putting aside his comic talent for the upcoming film regarding the historic Battle of Crete, which took place during WWII, May 20, 1941 when German forces invaded the island of Crete. The battle continued until June 1, 1941.
Galifianakis has already written a completed script for the film, and hopes also to star in it. A recent interview with Ethnos newspaper revealed that he plans to begin working on the film within the next two years. Galifianakis’ cousin, Jon Lucas, also one of the writers of The Hangover trilogy, has already begun to work on the screenplay.
