Dimitri Petratos has signed a one-year deal to play for Brisbane Roar.
The former Sydney FC player has just returned to Australia after a six-month stint with Malaysian Super League club Kelantan.
The 20-year-old will take up a position holding the attacking third, and will hold the number 23 jersey.
“I’m excited to be back playing football in Australia and to be here in Brisbane particularly,” Petratos said.
“I’ve enjoyed watching the way the Roar play over the past couple of years and now I’m excited to be a part of it.”
Also signing is Melbourne Victory player, Diogo Ferreira who will be a utility player, playing in a range of positions from midfield and defence. He made 52 appearances for Victory but also spent time in Portugal with FC Porto’s youth academy as a 16-year-old.
Head coach Mike Mulvey said the two provided good additions to the squad thanks to their desire to improve.
“I’ve been impressed with the determination they’ve both shown since they arrived. They are good additions to the squad and have a desire to be successful,” he said.
“Diogo and Dimitri provide an element of youth but bring significant A-League experience to our playing group as well.”
