Greek Australian filmmaker Eirini Konstantinidou is hoping to raise $8,000 to help fund a feature length film anthology, Mnemophrenia.
Using the crowd funding website, indiegogo.com, Ms Konstantinidou has already raised $3,300 and hopes to have the remainder of the funds by July 13.
The film is based on three short stories that will link up to a feature length film, all shot in London, England.
Already, Ms Konstantinidou has completed the first part, ‘The Beginning’ and is hoping to raise enough to start the second chapter, ‘Total Cinema’.
The movie is based on the rise of a new (fictional) mental condition called mnemophrenia. The condition is related to virtual reality, and renders some people unable to distinguish artificial memories from real ones.
The science fiction film will explore the link between humanity and technology, and was born as a continuation of Konstantinidou’s PHD project.
The highest bidder will have an ‘executive producer package’, complete with a set visit, film credit and an invitation to the private screening.
