Hollywood is filming a new version of the classic Greek tale of Hercules.

Filming has already begun in Budapest, Hungary for the reported US$110 million project.

Actor and former WWE fighter Dwayne Johnson is filling in Hercules’ sandals and has photographed himself wearing the Greek warrior styled helmet on set, with the caption ‘become the man you were born to be’.

The film is set to be released next July and is being directed by Brett Ratner, famous for X-Men: The Last Stand and Horrible Bosses.

The movie will chronicle Hercules after he has completed his 12 arduous labours. Hercules, along with six warriors, is hired by the King of Thrace (played by John Hurt) as an elite group to become an impenetrable army.
