The Greek Education Ministry plans to remove sex education from the school curriculum, according to reports.

The decision is based on a recommendation by the ministry’s Institute of Educational Policy (IEP) to scrap the chapter on human reproduction from biology textbooks used at first year high schools across the country, Ta Nea daily said.

The Greek Association of Bioscientists has issued a statement criticising the decision, the newspaper said.
