Four days before facing off in the battle that will determine the top spot in the regular season, Olympiakos and Panathinaikos scored easy league wins on Tuesday in games postponed from the previous round due to their Euroleague commitments.

Leader Olympiakos faced relegated Panionios at home and prevailed easily, with the final score at 108-65. Matt Lojeski scored 18 points for Olympiakos and William Coleman notched up 22 for Panionios.

Panathinaikos stayed one point behind the Reds beating host Aris 72-56, with Nikos Pappas scoring 17 points and collecting seven rebonds for the Greens. Alexander Vezenkov had a double-double for Aris (11 points and 11 rebounds).

Panathinaikos will now host Olympiakos on Saturday needing a win by at least seven points to snatch the top spot in the regular season from the Reds and enjoy the absolute home advantage in the play-offs.

Aris may have lost, but was boosted on Tuesday by news of a new investor who has acquired a 30 per cent stake in the club and is about to raise his holding to 97 per cent soon.
