Among 1,400 entries by media organisations, the ABC’s Mario Christodoulou has been named as a finalist for the 60th Walkley Awards.

Christodoulou, along with two colleagues, was nominated for his investigative work on Four Corners’ episode ‘The Jobs Game’, which centred on a billion-dollar governmental scheme – Jobs Services Australia – which was established to fight Australia’s increasing unemployment rate.

The gong recognises excellence in journalism, with 100 industry representatives short listing candidates, with winners to be announced on 3 December in Melbourne.
