For the second year in a row, the World Beach Taekwondo Championships will be held from 25-28 April on Rhodes.

Taekwondo athletes from all over the world have gathered in Rhodes since Thursday to compete at the World Beach Championships that will culminate on Saturday.

In the event’s opening ceremony, participants rolled oute a white sheet, as a gesture – statement of their commitment to the promotion of peace through sport.

The championship takes lace for a second year in Rhodes, after last year’s success, not only in terms of offering an innovative approach toTaekwondo, but also for gaining second place in the Peach and Sports Awards and earning the the silver prize at the 2017 Tourism Awards, in the “Developing Sports Tourism” category.
