February was a month filled with interesting stories, including the biggest street party with Melburnians flocking to the 32nd Lonsdale Street Greek Festival. But there was also plenty of ouzo and grape squashing to be enjoyed.
We celebrated our successes as Neos Kosmos celebrated another year around the sun, turning 62!
Olivia Colman won the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in Yiorgos Lanthimos’ ‘The Favourite’, but along with the joy and success were moments of sadness with deaths and crime.

Brothers John and George Panagiotou are now behind bars over a confrontation over allegedly stolen DJ equipment being sold on Gumtree. Their father, Tony Panagotou, shot father-of-five Duane Hutchings, 44, at his property at Oakleigh East. He was joined by his sons and another, however witnesses say that there may have been more accomplices.

Fans young and old gathered to hear songstress Eleonora Zouganeli. 10-month-old Elena Tsakakis, whose parents are from Kos and Crete, is almost 10 months old and undoubtedly the younest fan of the singer.

While most kids went back to school, one mother Eleni Tsampouri could not afford to send her kids to public school due to the fact that fees were exorbitant for children on a visa. Thanks to Neos Kosmos efforts, Oakleigh Grammar stepped in and offered her children a place for free.
