Karate, one of the world’s most popular martial arts, is gaining popularity within the Greek Australian community.
A lot of newly-arrived young athletes from Greece are carrying on their love for the sport in Australia, and their influence has had an affect on more established migrants of the community.
Those taking part in the sport are benefiting from the sound values that it fosters and the way in which it helps build discipline.

Their passion for karate has lead to a number of karateka gaining top spots within the Oceanic region, however it is a difficult path not strewn with roses, as they have faced many difficulties both in and out of the dojo to make it this far.
