A second International Conference on Language Contact in the Balkans and Asia Minor is being organised by the Institute of Modern Greek Studies (M Triandaphyllidis Foundation) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The aim of the conference is to examine issues related to language contact in the Balkans and Asia Minor with a special focus on Greek and the other languages of the region.
The plenary speakers will be Professors Petya Assenova of the University of Sofia, Bulgaria, and Bernt Brendemoen of the University of Oslo, Norway.

The conference will be held on 8-10 November at the Teloglion Fine Arts Foundation in Thessaloniki.
