Following two successful years, The Moseley Beach Club returns to the Glenelg foreshore this summer with a Mediterranean-style beach setting.

Inspired by established and premium beach bars around the world, particularly those in Mykonos and Santorini, it will open its doors on Monday 9 December and operate for just over three months.

It features premium daybeds and sun lounges, a casual dining area and bar with direct lounge and daybed service, and live music events.

In its two previous years of operation, it attracted thousands of international tourists and interstate visitors, helping to boost the local economy by increasing both the overall traffic to the area and business performance.

With free entry into a larger casual dining area, this season’s configuration will also see four new booths designed for groups, alongside day beds and sun lounges, with more than 50,000 visitors expected to come through.

“Our customers are always seeking more and we’re trying to exceed their expectations by changing things up, yet still bringing delicious food, innovative cocktails and great events to Glenelg,” RD Jones Group’s Operations Director, Luke Donaldson told Neos Kosmos.

To keep beach-goers entertained, DJs and live acoustic musicians will perform daily.

As a proud South Australian business, The Moseley Beach Club will partner with iconic SA brands, with local fashion brand Vacay Swimwear set to be the new uniform for staff.

The beach club has been made possible in large part thanks to the support of members of the Greek community, who kept campaigning for it to be approved.

It is now being viewed as a potential blueprint for similar operations around Australia.

“Thanks to the support we have had from City of Holdfast Bay Council, we are thrilled to be back offering everyone the opportunity to enjoy a drink on the beach in a relaxed and family-friendly environment for a third year and we certainly look forward to bringing the world’s attention to Glenelg, showcasing our great beaches in South Australia,” continued Mr Donaldson.

“The safety of our customer is our highest priority, which means we will work closely with the council and SAPOL (South Australia Police) to ensure a safe time. Stringent staff training and highly skilled security has been implemented to ensure we continue providing a memorable experience.
“After all, life is better at the beach.”
