Timeo Danaos et dona ferentes” is a Latin phrase that means “Beware of Greeks bearing gifts” The words, from Virgil’s epic The Aeneid, that were uttered by a Trojan, but would anyone in their right mind send away the bearer of gourmet gifts from Greece? Probably not!

Mr Dachris said there were four different types of hampers to choose from ranging in theme from “the Authentic one, to mothers’ favourite the Grecian De Lux Gourmet Hamper, the Grecian Masterchef Gourmet Hamper for all the cooking lovers and the Grecian Connoisseur Hamper for those with the most discerning tastes”.

The produce sourced for the Christmas hampers includes: Santorini’s best Assyrtiko wine, Kalamata’s artisan extra virgin olive oil, Chios’ mastiha liqueur, Epirus’ mountain tea, Florina’s Xinomavro red wine, truffles from Chalkidiki’s mountains, Messolonghi’s natural sea salts, or pure Greek honey from the islands of Evia and Crete.”
