Olympiacos is the latest club to express an interest in Arsenal’s out-of-favour centre back Sokratis Papastathopoulos according to English football website Football London.
The Greek champions, who have long admired the 32-year-old defender, are among of a number of clubs who have expressed an interest in Sokratis in the January football transfer window.
Soktratis began his professional playing career with AEK Athens in 2005. He moved on to play for Italian clubs Genoa and AC Milan before moving to Germany to play for Werder Bremen and Borussia Dortmund.
The Greek player was including among the best XI for the 2013-14 Bundesliga season.
In 2018, he joined English Premier League side Arsenal for a reported £17.6 million. He was a regular player in the Arsenal lineup (he played 69 times) and scored eight goals in all competitions.

However, the player found himself out of favour with Arteta along with other Arsenal players Mezut Ozil, Sead Kolasinac, Shkodran Musfafi as the Spanish coach looks to make room for new signings for the north London club.
Sokratis has most recently been linked with Turkish club Fenerbache but the defender has reportedly put off a final decision.
