Greece’s Consul-General for Melbourne, Emmanuel Kakavelakis, paid a visit to the PRONIA head offices in Brunswick on Tuesday, 16 March.
The president of the Pronia board, Kris Pavlidis briefed the diplomat on the history of the organisation that was founded by Dr Spyros Moraitis who saw a rising need for social support and assistance with settlement services for Greek migrants arriving in Australia.
The CEO, Tina Douvos Stathopoulos updated Mr Kakavelakis on PRONIA’s work over the years and the adaptation of its programmes and operations to suit current conditions.

The Consul-General for Melbourne congratulated the organisation for the significance of its work within the Greek community. He then went on to meet and talk to some of PRONIA’s clients.
