Greek tennis ace Maria Sakkari sent Estonia’s Anett Kontaveit packing from the Madrid Open on 2 May, completing a 6-3, 6-1 rout to make it to the third round of a competition.

The game was played in an hour and won during the second round in straight sets.

Both players served up one ace and one double fault.

Sakkari has so far done well in the open, and had earlier played America’s Amanda Anisimova.

She is set to meet Czech Professional Tennis Player Karolina Muchova on the red clay court in the third round of 16 on 4 May, the first time when these two tennis ace’s will cross paths on the WTA tour. The two, however have played each other on the ITF tour in 2016 when Sakkari defeated Muchova 6-4, 6-1 in the Sharm El Sheikh 38 event.

The Mutua Madrid Open is an ATP Masters 1000 tennis event being played at La Caja Magica in Madrid, Spain.
