Greece, and Mykonos in particular, formed the romantic backdrop for power couple Tiffany “Tiffy” Trump, the former US president Donald Trump’s youngest daughter, and Nigerian magnate Michael Boulos who announced their engagement from the White House earlier this year.

During their two-year romance, Boulos often took Ms Trump to Greece. The couple have a special love for Mykonos where they went in the early days of their relationship in 2018.

Mr Boulos, aged 23, who is of Lebanese descent was born and grew up in Nigeria the is heir to the family conglomerate SCOA Nigeria which controls the distribution of motorsport vehicles throughout Africa and includes interests in the energy field, furniture manufacture and interior design,.

He is a global business management graduate of Regent’s University London and at 19 was appointed associate director of SCOA Nigeria.

He first discovered Greece as a teenager and became a regular of the party circuit around Psarou Beach in Mykonos. Over the years, the couple have often been spotted partying at actress Lindsay Lohan’s club in Mykonos. However it has not all been partying for the pair who have been photographed visiting the Parthenon and the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion.

Ms Trump, 27, recently graduated from Georgetown University’s law center is the daughter of Mr Trump’s second wife Marla Maples. She first introduced Mr Boulos to her family at Mr Trump’s Mar-a-Lago mansion in Florida on Thanksgiving in 2018.

According to Page Six, the gossip column for the New York Post, the couple announced their engagement on 19 January from the White House on Mr Trump’s last full day as president of the US.

In announcing the engagement on Instagram, Ms Trump said: “It has been an honor to celebrate many milestones, historic occasions and create memories with my family here at the White House, none more special than my engagement to my amazing fiancé Michael! Feeling blessed and excited for the next chapter!”

The 13-carat engagement ring that Mr Boulos place on Ms Trump’s finger in the White House Rose Garden was reported to be worth US$1.2 million.

No wedding date has yet been announced but the reception is sure to be a big one.
