Μikis Theodorakis’ remains will lie in state for three days at the Athens Metropolitan Cathedral from Monday, 6 September through to  Wednesday, September 8.

At 3pm on Wednesday, there will be a funeral service at the Athens Cathedral, according to an announcement made by the communist party KKE’s press office.

The great Greek composer, who died at the age of 96 last Thursday, will be buried at his home town in Galata, Chania, on Thursday, 9 September, according to his own wishes.
