NBA and Greek basketball superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and his brother, Thanasis, have bought two luxury villas at the Costa Navarino resort on the Messinian coast – according to media reports it is the player’s first major investment in Greek property.

According to Proto Thema, the properties are located in a new section of the resort, Rolling Greens, which comprises 42 spacious three- and four-bedroom homes which range from 232 to 297square metres on properties that range from 697 to 1,300 square metres and are worth up to $2.1 million.

The properties, which include private pools all face west, to overlook the Ionian Sea. Residents also enjoy access to the nearby Dunes Course golf facilities.

The Costa Navarino resort has attracted leading sportspeople such as footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Tony Kroos and Greek tennis champion Maria Sakkari.

Proto Thema reported that the Antetokounmpo family first visited Costa Navarino in 2018. The brothers visited the site in September for a holiday before returning to the United States.
