The Victorian School of Languages (VSL) is a government school with a strong history of commitment to the provision of language programs for students from Years 1 to 12 who do not have access to the study of those languages in their mainstream schools.

Delivered through face-to-face teaching in language centres across Victoria and through Distance Education learning, the school had its beginnings in 1935 with the start of Saturday classes at MacRobertson Girls High School.

The Greek language has been offered as a VSL subject since 1971, and is one of more than 40 languages available.

One of the most affordable options for language learning, fees are $80 per year for students from Year 1-10 and $95 for VCE. Years 7-12 for Distance Education is at $160. Learning Greek by correspondence is offered to students from Year 7-12.

There are VSL classes for Greek catering to students from Years 1-12 in 11 centres. Most centres operate each Saturday from 9am to 12:20pm.
