The maritime community returns for its annual appointment at Costa Navarino, Messinia for some golf action.

The Greek Maritime Golf Event will take place on September 8-11, 2022 and more than 80 leading executives from the industry are expected to attend.

This year’s tournament features two new 18-hole signature golf courses, designed by two-time Masters champion and Ryder Cup legend José Marίa Olazábal at Navarino Hills, and the usual landscape of the region with centuries-old olive trees and idyllic views of the Ionian sea.

Participants will form 20 teams of four and will compete on 9 September in the two ball better ball (3/4 hcp) at The Hills Course, followed by a shotgun scramble they will take part in the next day at the International Olympic Academy Golf Course.

Prizes will be awarded for teams on the top three positions in the overall standings, while special awards can be claimed for best scores in the “Longest Drive” and “Closest to the Pin” categories.

The tournament that brings together representatives of the Greek and world shipping industry has been running for 8 years and was distinguished at the Sports Marketing Awards 2020 as the best golf event in Greece and Cyprus.
