As we enter the second half of the play-offs, every match seems to have vital implications for each side, with Olympiacos edging closer to yet another league title, three clubs are locked in a fierce struggle below them.

AEK, one of the three clubs fighting for third, is preparing for a hostile reception as they take on PAOK at Toumba Stadium on Monday morning (AEST) in the sixth round of the Greek Super League play-offs.

PAOK will show no mercy to their Athenian rivals, as they need to regain their momentum after going six matches without an outright win in all competitions.

Panathinaikos faces Aris at home in another high-stakes battle, with the Greens looking to build on their recent qualification to the Cup final by securing all three points, and overtake their opponents on the ladder in the process.

Olympiacos takes on Giannina at Karaiskakis Stadium and the Piraeus outfit will be desperate to restore their form after going five matches without a win, including a derby loss to Panathinaikos and a dramatic Cup elimination at the hands of PAOK.

OFI hosts Panetolikos on Sunday morning in the opening game of the fifth round of the play-outs, with the Cretans aiming for a victory to retain their place at the top of the relegation group.

Volos battles Atromitos at home in a largely inconsequential match, with both teams safe from relegation.

Lamia travels to play Asteras Tripolis on Tuesday morning in a huge match for the Fthiotida side which finds itself only one point away from the bottom of the ladder.

The team occupying last place, Apollon Smyrnis, is preparing for its own away trip against Ionikos, and they will be hoping to keep their strong form going (seven points from their last three outings) as they fight desperately to avoid a straight drop to the second division.
