After two years of abstaining from all open events, the Lemnian Community of Victoria is back in full force with lots of glamour and style, presenting the “Glitz & Glamour Gala” in collaboration with the Lemnian Youth of Victoria, on Saturday, May 28, at the Ivory Elsternwick.

“Before the pandemic we used to have an annual ball every October to mark the liberation of Lemnos. But after two years of lockdowns and isolation, people were thirsty to get out and have fun and October seemed a long way off. In response, we decided to do something now, a little smaller and somehow different, so that people could get dressed up, go out and celebrate the return to normality,” the events manager of the Lemnian Community, Ms. Penny Angelidi, told Neos Kosmos.

She went on to explain that the October ball will take place as usual. “Now is an opportunity for our newly established Lemnian Youth to introduce themselves to our community and make their presence known,” she said.

The doors will open to the public at 6pm for pre-drinks and the ticket price covers a three-course menu including drinks.

“There will be live entertainment from Melodia Band and DJ Thomas Nico will be on hand to entertain the younger crowd. We will have a raffle and lots of surprises,” said Ms Angelides.

Tickets will be available via Trybooking until Tuesday 10 May.
