In the presence of the members of the delegation of the Ministry of National Defence and the Region of Crete, the opening of the exhibition The Contribution of Crete in 1821 took place on Thursday afternoon in the Queens Hall of the State House of Victoria. The exhibition was organised by the Cretan Federation of Australia and New Zealand in conjunction with the Historical Museum of Crete and with the support of the Region of Crete.

The Leader of the State opposition the Hon Mathew Guy MP and the Director of the Historical Museum of Crete Agisilaos Kaloutsakis launched the exhibition.

The event offered the opportunity to the members of both delegations to meet Bishop Evmenios of Kerasounta and Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis as well as local members of parliament and party leaders of Victoria.

The night ended with the Cretan Federation of Australia and New Zealand hosting a reception in the hall of the Cretan Village.
