In what has been a remarkable NSW NPL season so far, Sydney Olympic finds itself among the seven teams in the race for top spot with only three points separating first-seventh, making each match of critical importance.

The Blues are preparing to take on Northbridge Bulls in the 14th round on Saturday afternoon and they will be hoping to keep their hot streak running (ten points from last four games), with any points dropped leaving massive repercussions on league placements.

Victoria

South Melbourne opens the 16th round of the Victorian NPL with an away match against Melbourne Knights on Friday night, and “Hellas” will be hoping to consolidate their lead in first which they reclaimed last weekend.

Port Melbourne Sharks also travels on Friday evening to play Green Gully and both teams will be striving for maximum points as they each aim to go outright third.

“Hellas'” premiership rivals, Oakleigh Cannons, play Dandenong Thunder away on Saturday night and, after a shock 1-1 draw against last-placed Eastern Lions last week, they will need to ensure a win so as not to lose more ground in the hunt for first.

Heidelberg hosts Bentleigh in a Sunday afternoon contest, and the Greens will have to overcome their inconsistent form of late to protect their place in sixth against the in-form “Alexandros” side (ten points in their last four outings).

Northern NSW

Newcastle Olympic (5th) is preparing for a tough home battle against the league leaders, Broadmeadow Magic, on Sunday afternoon as they aim to end Magic’s nine-match unbeaten streak.

SA

Adelaide Olympic (10th) is set to face White City away on Saturday afternoon in the 13th round and they will be keen to end their three-match losing streak and create some distance from the bottom of the table.

QLD

Olympic FC (2nd) hosts Gold Coast Knights in the tenth round on Saturday evening, needing maximum points to keep within range of first place.

WA

Floreat Athena (3rd) takes on Armadale at home on Saturday night and they will be confident after managing a win over second-placed Stirling last week.

TAS

Olympia Warriors (7th) is looking to end their pitiful league form (one win and seven losses) in a lower-table clash against Clarence Zebras in the ninth round on Friday night.
