Mr Nikos Dendias, Greece’s minister for foreign affairs will present at the 5th Digital Conversation Series, in a live-webinar hosted by The Hellenic Initiative Australia (THI).

“We are delighted and honoured that the Foreign Minister will be addressing our audience at a time when we are all paying closer attention to global issues and foreign policy matters especially as they affect Greece,” said THI Australia’s President, Nicholas Pappas AM.

The war in Ukraine has impacted on fuel prices in Greece, as it has on the rest of the world, and Greece’s complex relationship with Russia, often seen as an Orthodox ally, has frayed as Greece an EU and NATO member.

Digital Conversation Series by THI Australia delivers the influential speakers and leaders aimed at providing the Greek Diaspora with fresh insights and in generating discussion.

Previous guest speakers have included Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic; Gianna Angelopoulou-Daskalaki, President of Greece 2021 Committee; Stephen Fry, proud philhellene, actor, comedian and author; and Dr Albert Bourla, Chairman & CEO of Pfizer.

In Conversation events are all available on THI Australia’s YouTube channel.
