The popular activity for Greek families with young children, Greek Story Time, ended this year’s programme on a happy note at Lalor Library.
Christmas carols in Greek and English were sung during the final meeting of the year, to celebrate the Festive season, after the children enjoyed listening to a Christmas story.
The children, parents and teachers of Lalor North Primary School, who attended the session, exchanged stories of traditional Greek Christmas rituals, the foods, the gifts and religious meaning of Christmas in their culture.
A Syrian and a Chinese family also enjoyed the festive gathering of songs and stories, as they look forward to the recommencement of the programme in 2023.
