Melbourne Victory’s hopes of climbing off the bottom of the A-League Men table have been handed a boost by the acquisition of Bruce Kamau.

The forward, who previously played for Adelaide United, Melbourne City and the Western Sydney Wanderers, has signed on loan from Greek first division outfit OFI Crete until the end of the season.

“Bruce is a talented forward who has proved himself at A-League level and we’re looking forward to bringing his experience and attributes into our side,” Victory head coach Tony Popovic said.

“Bruce has spent some time in a European league to progress as a footballer and we believe the environment at Melbourne Victory will allow us to bring the best out of him.”

Victory said that Kamau would be considered for selection against Wellington Phoenix on Friday.
