Former AFL midfielder and current Australian Survivor reality star David Zaharakis is selling his 4061 square metre four-bedroom house at 127 Bonds Rd, for close to $4 million.

The property, purchased in 2018 on the ex-Essendon player’s 30th birthday, includes an indoor basketball and squash court, theatre room, a bar in the billiards room and a luxurious pool.

On the listing’s promotion on the real estate website, agent Craig Parker described the indoor sports court as “very cool”, especially taking into consideration the house’s proximity to the Heidelberg Golf Club.

“For kids growing up in a house like that, it would be great to be friends with them. You would be very popular if you had an indoor basketball court. It’s a brilliant home for entertaining,” Mr Parker said adding that “You could probably, through the whole property and in all the different living spots, have 100 people there comfortably.”

Zaharakis’ house includes a gym, sauna and bathroom just outside the basketball court, leading to the pool, spa and granite-paved domain with a fire pit.

The black kitchen is equipped with waterfall stone benches, soft-close bespoke cabinetry, Siemens appliances and a butler’s pantry while the home also entertains a 1000-bottle wine cellar, four-car garage, three bathrooms, formal living area with an open fireplace, roof solar system and fitted laundry.

According to the agent, the Heroes v Villains Survivor star loves the house but has “decided to move closer to town”.
