Last Thursday evening, the Greek Centre was abuzz with enthusiasm as adult students from the Greek Community School (GCM) gathered for an informative session dedicated to exploring the secrets of Mastiha, a unique ingredient with a rich history.
The event featured a presentation that shed light on the historical and contemporary uses of Mastiha, highlighting its potential health benefits.
Attendees had the opportunity to embark on a tasting journey, sampling Mastiha in various forms such as crystals, liqueurs, cocktails, and candies infused with Mastiha.
Adding to the cultural ambiance of the evening, traditional Chios songs filled the air, enhancing the overall experience.
At the end of the event participants received thoughtful gifts, leaving with a newfound appreciation for Chios’ cherished staple.
The event was supported by “Hellenic Wines & Spirits” in addition to providing its awarded “Skinos” products for the final part of the evening.
