As the promising year of 2024 unfolds, Panhellenic College, nestled at 114 Childs Road, Epping, extends a warm invitation to prospective students and their families. Every Friday from 5pm to 8pm, starting on the 9th of February, the college opens its doors to a vibrant world of cultural exploration, language acquisition, and community engagement.

Under the auspices of The Community of Cypriots of the Northern Suburbs, Panhellenic College has been a beacon of Greek and Cypriot culture for over three decades. The school goes beyond traditional language teaching, immersing students in the richness of Greek and Cypriot heritage. Students have the opportunity to engage in exciting excursions, learn traditional Greek dances, participate in cultural concerts, and contribute to the joy of the elderly community through entertaining performances.

Panhellenic College is not just a school; it’s a community that promotes family engagement. In 2023, the school brought smiles to the elderly community by performing a Mother’s Day concert at the Grace of Mary Aged Care centre, spreading joy to grandparents and elders who may be experiencing loneliness.

The school prioritises creating a welcoming, caring, and supportive environment for every student. Well-educated and trained teachers are committed to fostering safe, inclusive, and creative learning experiences. The goal is to encourage students to embrace bilingualism and enjoy attending Greek school outside of their regular academic schedule.

Mrs Despina Sarandis, the school’s principal, emphasises the beauty of learning Greek at Panhellenic College.

“While it might seem daunting at first, our school community provides a supportive, comfortable, and safe environment for all children to thrive. Regardless of your background, our goal is to instil the drive and motivation to learn. As teachers, we take the lead in motivating and filling each student’s cup. Let us guide you on this exciting journey!”

Panhellenic College boasts a dedicated team of experienced and youthful teachers. Hailing from Greece, Cyprus, and Australia, these educators bring unique perspectives to the classroom, enriching the language learning experience. They understand the importance of establishing a positive rapport to cultivate a secure language learning environment.

Embracing 21st-century learning principles, Panhellenic College proudly incorporates the “Geia Xara” textbook into its curriculum. This aligns with the Victorian Department of Education guidelines and Australian curriculum standards, seamlessly integrating technology and digital learning methods into language instruction.

“At Panhellenic College, we are committed to providing an immersive and dynamic learning environment that reflects the global nature of language education. Enrol now and be part of a community that motivates, supports, and cares for each student,” says Mrs Sarandis.
