The growth and success of Maria Dalamaras’ Digital Marketing business ‘Rio Consulting Group’ has been recognised with it being listed as a finalist in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards in the Business Consultancy category for the Awards, which this year will culminate in two National Presentation evenings at the Star, Sydney on April 12 and 13.

Ms Dalamaras expressed immense pride in this achievement, stating that she was made aware of her business’ successful entry in an email on February 29 as they were placed on the finalists list among over 5,500 entries.

“I want to extend my appreciation to the organisers of these awards for recognising the contributions of businesses like mine and providing a platform to celebrate excellence within the industry,” she told Neos Kosmos.

“It is truly an honour to be considered among such esteemed businesses, and I am humbled by the opportunity to showcase the dedication and hard work of Rio Consulting Group.”

As part of the application process, the digital marketing agency had to explain in detail the essence of their business, including their mission, values, and operational philosophy as well as reflecting on the various challenges they face and have to overcome.

“Through this thorough examination of our business, we were able to demonstrate our commitment to excellence and distinguish ourselves as a worthy contender among numerous entries,” Ms Dalamaras said.

The Sydneysider with roots from Rhodes and Kavala explained that this honour (which is the second time her business has been listed as a finalist in these awards) provides a great sense of elation and validation for her and her exploits.

“As an entrepreneur and business owner, the journey is often characterised by relentless dedication and countless unseen efforts,” she said.

“Therefore, to receive acknowledgment for our endeavours through this nomination was genuinely gratifying.”

Ms Dalamaras elaborated on how running her St. George based agency, which has been operational since 2018, comes with the challenge of not getting immediate assurances of your own success, meaning awards such as this can serve as significant morale boosters.

“This recognition reinforced the notion that our dedication to excellence and commitment to serving our clients’ needs are being acknowledged and appreciated by esteemed organisations like this one,” she told Neos Kosmos.

Ms Dalamaras admitted that a major component of her life has been juggling the responsibilities of running her digital marketing agency and raising her two young sons Gregorio (6) and Paul (3).

Her experiences of running the business and raising her young family will forever be closely associated, given that both began at essentially the same time, with her describing it as both rewarding and demanding.

“While there are undoubtedly challenges associated with running a business while raising a young family, the experience has enriched my life in immeasurable ways,” she said.

“It’s a constant reminder of what truly matters and motivates me to work harder, not just for the success of my business, but for the well-being and future of my family.”

Her business, which is named after her oldest son Gregorio, is now entering its sixth year and she is excited at the possibilities that lie ahead as they build on the foundation laid.

“We are grateful for the unwavering support of our clients, partners, and team members who have been instrumental in our success thus far, and we are excited to embark on this next phase of our journey together.”

In addition to this, she also stressed the need to acknowledge the incredible help provided by her family, colleagues and mentors in shaping both her personal and professional life.

“Their encouragement, guidance, and belief in our vision have been invaluable, and I am immensely grateful for their continued support.”
