St Monica’s College, Epping is has announced its annual production for 2024: ‘Hairspray The Musical’
Set in 1962 Baltimore, the story follows Tracy Turnblad, a lovable teen whose dream is to dance on the popular ‘Corny Collins Show’.
When her dream becomes reality, Tracy transforms from a social outcast to a sudden star, captivating audiences with her high-energy performances and infectious spirit.
This high-voltage musical showcases the incredible talents of over 100 students and staff from St Monica’s College. College Principal, Brian Hanley OAM, emphasised the significance of the annual event, stating, “Many students and staff have an opportunity to be involved in this wonderful production, whether on stage, backstage, or as musicians.”
“So much hard work goes into a production of this size, and we are pleased to be able to give our Monicans this opportunity. The annual production is certainly a highlight of our arts program, and I am sure our students will relish the opportunity to excel on stage,” the Principal added.
